3DM Network – Central Midwest Region
The most common feedback we receive after a church goes through a two-year Learning Community is this:
“This training has been life changing for us, but rather than feeling like the process is complete, it feels like we have just begun. We are starting to see the level of missional discipleship culture change we want. Also, we have loved doing this with so many other churches in community, and it really feels like family.”
This is the reason we started the 3DM Network originally. This a relational network of churches from a variety of backgrounds and denominations that all want to continue pursuing a missional discipleship culture. And want to do it together. Currently we have about 30 churches involved at this level.
Here are the tangibles of network churches:
- Bi-weekly huddles: All senior leaders have access to a huddle twice a month to continue processing personal and church-specific areas of focus.
- Bi-annual Community of Practice: Access to a community of practice immersion in the spring (2 day) and fall (3 day) with unlimited number of leaders (paying only for food). These immersions, similar to an LC format, contextualize discipleship principles in specific church areas like youth, children, worship, leadership pipeline, MC’s, etc.
- Annual Senior Leader/Spouse Retreat: All senior leaders/spouses have access to a two-day retreat for both refreshment and vision inspiration.
- Sending another team through: As a church takes on new staff or new leaders over the years, it is helpful to be able to send them through the LC two-year process. Network churches can send new teams through another cycle of LC immersions anytime simply at cost.
- Deeper Relationships and Roots: One of the most difficult challenges of building a discipleship culture against a consumer culture is that it takes long and can feel lonely. The relationships developed between church leaders in the network bring deeper roots to the vision and mutual encouragement to keep persevering.
- Scholarshipping other churches: 3DM makes all of its training available to smaller churches, diverse churches, and any church that may have difficulty paying for a Learning Community. Utilizing network funds helps about half of the churches joining new LC’s today. These churches would not have access to this training apart from these generous network funds.
What is the cost of joining the network?
Because this is a relational network, we ask every church to decide on their own what they will contribute annually. We have 100% transparency on what all churches give, and where all the money is spent. Here are a few principles or guidelines for churches:
- The range of an annual church gift to the network is $1,200 to $10,000 depending on size.
- If a church would like to have two leaders in huddle, instead of one, we do ask the church to consider increasing their gift by $1,000 per year.
- For individuals who want to join the network, we welcome this and ask individuals to consider a minimum of $1,000 gift per year.
- To keep our administrative overhead low, we ask all gifts to be given in only one of two ways:
o Monthly through automatic payments by Subplash (click HERE)
o One-time annually through mailed-in check to:

It is a privilege and honor to pursue our discipleship calling together in community as we grow, learn, and encourage one another. We love doing this as family!
